Nick Cooper

  • Executive Creative Director
  • London, UK

Nick is an ECD who enjoys crafting memorable work built around simple ideas, that resonate with audiences and culture.

With a mantra of ‘connected creativity’ Nick has led agencies and shaped creative teams free of silos, able to execute with relevance at every brand touchpoint – winning awards for creativity and effectiveness.

As a designer/art director by background, Nick has always brought conceptual clarity together with considered aesthetics into his creative process. And in agency building, has done the same, connecting a multi-discipline collective, to deliver the same compelling mix of ideas and executions.

Advertising, Social, Digital, Experiential, Design, Content and Branding are all brought seamlessly together to deliver a competitive creative advantage.

Nick’s global perspective, and broad hands-on experience beyond traditional advertising enables him to build brands, through consistent experience, across multiple touchpoints, both physical and digital.

Nick has significant multi-sector experience, but always had a core specialism is automotive, leading as a key player in Nissan United’s global team as European ECD of 25 markets. He re-branded Vauxhall in the UK, overseeing their transition to electric powertrains – and taking Corsa back to number 1. And he created the ‘for the drivers’ brand platform for Lotus, which he connected to complete a brand overhaul, as ownership passed to new Chinese owners Geely.

This automotive experience is matched with significant luxury client experience and understanding of an UHNWI audience, in specialist audio, alcohol, watches and jewellery, to name a few.

These two sectors have recently come more meaningfully together, as Nick was pivotal in the creation of IPG-X, a bespoke agency within Interpublic, with the likes of Bentley Motors and Princess Yachts as clients. Brands for which Nick’s ‘connected creative’ approach has proven to be particularly powerful.

Nothing gives Nick more joy away from work than time spent with family, but distractions of architecture, photography, tennis and rugby follow swiftly behind.

The work on this site is a mix of work created or overseen by Nick. He would like to thank all those who have contributed and been part of his journey so far. Onwards.
